Performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and cleaning functions*. Will work with minimum supervision. Repairs structures, including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning equipment. May assist a skilled mechanic on major maintenance or construction projects such as periodic overhauling of air conditioning and heating equipment, adding to existing structures. Uses power tools such as router, sander, saw, and nail gun. Uses a variety of hand tools when making repairs to equipment and structures. Performs general maintenance, cleaning, and repair and construction duties to structures and equipment, including plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical systems. Utilizes all safety equipment.

*Guides community service volunteers, and inmates when available and other volunteers. All apartments will be cleaned top to bottom, front to back, walls painted completely, all kitchen areas and appliances cleaned, and any sheet rock repair, and other repairs that are necessary. The outside storage area will also be cleaned and painted if necessary. The yards of vacant apartments will be cleaned, mowed, and trimmed. This cleaning will be inspected by the Executive Director or his designee. Completes attached daily, weekly and monthly job responsibility. Work schedule will be twenty-nine hours a week.

Emergency work orders will be first priority. Vacant apartment cleaning will be second priority. Will be assigned other duties as needed. Must be able to clean apartments that require extreme cleaning.
